FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where can I donate?

I have created a way to accept donations to grow the project, use the WWII Veterans Portrait Series Go Fund Me.

Where are you located?

I live in the San Diego area but have traveled to many locations to interview and photograph Veterans.

How Long is an Appointment?

Appointments usually last an hour. But please free up time for Mickey to set up lights and cameras, hold the interview, and take some still photographers for in the project.

Do you accept reservations?

Yes is the simple answer to the question. Each appointment is set up as an individual session. Group sessions have been set up when I visited a senior living facility or many of the California Veterans Homes.

US Army Air Corp PVT World War 2 Larry Gray was an Aviation Electronics Technician with the Army Air Corps. Larry served all over the Southwest Pacific Theater and the Pacific Theater, Hopping from Island to Island airfields with his squadron as they advanced in the war, liberating the islands the Japanese had captured. The photos he's holding are of his beloved Consolidated B-24 Liberator, an American heavy bomber aircraft. The photos of these aircraft were parked on the tarmac in Okinawa, Japan, close to the war's end.  Larry served four years during World War 2 and was later recalled for another year during the Korean War.  Larry wears a red shirt or sweater daily because it's his favorite color.  It also reminded me of the R.E.D. campaign of Remember Everyone Deployed. Not all heroes served overseas in the heat of the Pacific Islands like Larry and his Squadron of B-24s, but everyone did a job to win the war.
