Where can I donate?

I have created a way to accept donations to grow the project, use the WWII Veterans Portrait Series Go Fund Me.

Where are you located?

I live in the San Diego area but have traveled to many locations to interview and photograph Veterans.


How Long is an Appointment?

Appointments usually last an hour. But please free up time for Mickey to set up lights and cameras, hold the interview, and take some still photographers for in the project.

Do you accept reservations?

Yes is the simple answer to the question. Each appointment is set up as an individual session. Group sessions have been set up when I visited a senior living facility or many of the California Veterans Homes.

US Army Air Corps PVT World War 2 Mr. Bill Boulter enlisted after completing high school at 17 years old. Bill joined the US Army Air Corps and served from 1945-1947, including serving with the occupying forces days at the war's end. Bill had a slew of assignments and duties in his short service. Bill waited to go to ground school or the Aviation Cadet Program during his early days, but the program was terminated. Bill was reassigned and served as a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress mechanic. He performed sheet metal repairs and was later qualified to repair the Lucite windows the gunners used on the aircraft.  Bill did not have enough points at the end of the war so he was stationed in Europe in 1946 with the occupying forces. Bill was assigned to the motor pool as a Driver.  One of his primary duties was assisting new service members arriving to serve as occupational forces. Bill would help them settle in for their European tour. These replacement troops were usually 24-month postings stationed all around Europe. Bill finished his qualifications, earning enough points, and was eventually discharged from active service and returned to the United States.
